On my older, 2009 Grand Caravan, we are unable to check the transmission fluid level without this dipstick. Recommendations to "visit your dealer" wasn't acceptable to us. We aren't worried about voiding any warranties, we simply need to know that the fluid level is correct. The accompanying literature is reassuring we are reading it correctly. 😀

Chrysler stopped supplying dipsticks on their vans, infact the place to check has a little cap the says "dealership only." And the deals hip then uses a dipstick just like this one. This was affordable and accurate just what I needed for my transmission flush.
