This is a great travel adapter. The sheer amount of options is fantastic; especially the 4 usb slots, which allowed me to charge multiple objects at once, such as my phone and my powerbank and headphones. The multiple slots also made me popular with my hostel mates when a room had only one outlet.

The downsides: It's big and chunky. It takes up more space in a bag than some backpackers might want for an adapter, although it was never a problem for me. Difficult when there is not much space between the bed and the outlet. Also, the EU adapter wasn't totally sturdy, at least on mine. The plugs slide out, but I found mine often pushed back into the adapter a little bit when I tried to place it in the outlet. I often had to hold the slider out while plugging it in. Overall, though, these are minor annoyances and the positives outweigh the negatives for me.

This adapter worked well for me in London, Paris, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Dublin and Brussels. At one time I was able to charge 4 US-B items, 1 US-C item plus my charging brick with a US plug, plugged into the socket on the front. There are also sockets for the plugs of other countries on the front. I was able to use it on the Eurostar train, the Thalys train and even some local European trains and buses to charge my phone. It's one piece, fits in the palm of your hand, light weight and comes in a convenient carrying case. This keeps the sockets free from debris. It's much better than carrying several bulky, interchangeable pieces. I never had to use a converter. Some people think why not add a converter "just in case"? DON'T! I've seen people add converters when not needed and blow out the lights in the entire hotel. All of my items were dual voltage so I was okay. But no, I did not try anything like a dryer, toothbrush or steamer. I'm just learning about converters and adapters so I'm taking baby steps. I definitely recommend this item.

This adapter works great as long as you are plugging it into an outlet that does not conflict with its design. By that I mean, many 220v outlets in some countries have an on/off power switch just above the outlet. When this adapter is plugged into an outlet like that, IF you are not very careful, the face of the adapter hits the power switch and turns the power OFF.

This device was a nice toy playing around a figgit playing with the plugs. It replaced a good bit of my usb chargers. It holds more. And can charge up to 6 devices. It's a must have. It is cheaper then most treval adapters.
