Soft and cute, but not compression leggings

I ordered these and didn't realize they were Poly/Lycra blend when I was looing for a Poly/Spandex blend. They fit well and are soft, but don't have much of a compression effect (which is what I was looking for). Even though they are black, they were a little unflattering on the back of my thighs - if they were a heathered pattern, the problem would probably be alleviated. The pocket was the main reason I bought these and the style is really cute (colors true to photo), but I will be returning due to the material blend. For reference, I am 5'7" and 140lbs average body type and ordered a medium. The rise was just below my navel, and the length was about 2.5" below the bottom of my knee.

Although I initially disliked how thick the fabric was, my mind was changed when I actually worked out in them. They didn't ride up or down, and they weren't see-through. Then I wore them to roller derby practice, which we've been holding in a parking lot due to the pandemic. My skate wheel caught on a rock and I went face-first into the pavement. Any cheaper leggings would have torn from a slide on the rough concrete -- but I got up with nothing but a layer of dirt and a few bruises for the trouble. I definitely recommend these -- I just wish they came in more colors than just black with blue or red!
Edit: after several months, the leggings finally tore a tiny amount at the knee after falling down on it. Time to buy more of these...!

These are great pants. I got a medium in black to wear for tennis indoors. I like that they have good coverage, but breathable mesh on parts of the legs so they don't get too hot. They are kind of longer than capris on me because I have short legs and a long torso (I'm 5'5" 130lbs). I love having the pockets. I was originally thinking I could use them for tennis balls, and while a tennis ball will fit in each pocket, it's kind of awkward, and I don't think the mesh pocket will tear pretty quickly if I put a ball in there much. My phone fits in it.
The waist is a little smaller than I was expecting, but it's still comfy enough to play in because it has a lot of stretch.

Bought these for my wife, who loves running and going to the gym. She wore them the same day she opened them, and is absolutely thrilled with them. I got added bonus points since her workout buddies thought they were super cool and wanted to know where she got them. There is a pocket deep enough that it holds her phone and doesn't jostle out during vigorous exercise.
After the first time she wore them, she demanded to know where I'd gotten thrm and wanted to look at all the possible patterns and colors. She's worn them at least once a week since I got them, so they've held up to at least 25 vigorous exercise sessions of running or whatever happens at the gym and at least 25 laundry cycles, and they look as great as when they were brand new.
