When I looked for batteries I found which kind to get, or did I? In the description I could not find which size to get so I went to the pictures. In the last picture I found that it can take AAA batteries but it states when you get the product it take AA batteries. When you get the item it comes with a cable that plugs into the wall. overall, this is a great item to get form a present or to treat yourself.

This is something you can buy and just keep on hand for a cool birthday gift for a hockey player. It has lasted four years and is still going. Initially I didn't think it worked because I didn't realize the button to turn it on is not a button. It is just a circle and you lightly put your finger on it and that turns it on and off. I thought it was supposed to be a button that gets pressed up and down. It isn't. But it is a great little nightlight and a cool present for kids who like hockey.
