Quality of materials and sturdiness is questionable,

It's the easiest and quickest box furniture I've ever assembled from a box, until the 6 screws at the end. They are mostly in difficult spots to tighten. Based on the fact that the 6 screws are all on the top of the stand, I think you have to take great care when moving it around. It's a good looking piece as a whole. It has some nicks and flaws, but they don't stand out. Most of the barn door rollers don't actually roll, but the doors still slide fine. Based on the materials and quality I think the price is high, but it is a nice looking piece at a glance. Based on the price and weight I'm surprised there's not a little more holding it all together. If you're getting the XL size it'll be hard to find this look at this price. If you're getting a smaller size there's a lot more options.

I ordered two of these units to place on both sides of my fireplace. I received one and two days later received the second one. Both came with some minor damage that my husband was able to repair. They are comprised mostly of pressboard so I think the packing materials used should have been more substantial as this is a put-together yourself unit and comes in pieces. Heavier and thicker foam and cardboard shipping material would help to alleviate damage from handling and shipping. That being said, the unit looks exactly as pictured. I will not be using it with a TV placed on top but it is sturdy enough to do so. For the price, it is fairly well made and easy to put together.

This was fairly easy to build but could've been easier with the addition of letters or numbers onto each piece to correspond with the instructions. It also came missing the black metal strap on the lower right corner (see attached photo).
Great tv stand with minor flaws

We ended up buying this tv stand because all our other tables were in this model. All of the tables ( 2 end tables and a coffee table) including this stand have the same issue. The material is loose at certain areas of the furniture. What I mean by this is that the material which gives it the used vintage appearance is a glued on to the actual wood and in some corners that has started coming off.
As far as the assembly of this stand it was rather interesting, the whole thing is literally held together with 6 screws which 2 of the 6 were off from their intended area of fastening. Another issue I had was that one of the 4 provided shelves did not have a the piece that held it up in place which was supposed to be located on the inside of front piece of the tv stand. I had to drill in 3 small screws into the stand to hold the shelf up in the front section.
Other then that the stand is pretty heavy which I like and looks great in our living room. But I wish the overall quality control would be better at Ashley's because this is not the first time we purchased stuff from them that had defective furniture which I had to DIY and adjust and fix.
