Super Comfy - wears out quickly -UPDATE!
Angela Jurewicz✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 29, 2023
Very comfortable shoe. I wanted to try a less expensive option than Xero or Vivo. From the moment I put them on I loved the lightness and fit. The soles are much softer and more flexible than the other two. However, that softness obviously has a downfall as they have worn very quickly. This is the wear after just a month of wearing them. I feel like I'm going to break through at any moment. Does anyone know if the other models of the Whitin have a harder sole? I can't spend $45 every couple months to replace...

Update! It's Oct 23rd and Ive broken through. I wear them daily and walk about 7 miles per day, so consider that in your purchase . I still love the comfort, but bummer that they're done after 2 months.
Almost perfect

I wore these for 10 days in Europe with up to 15 miles per day and my feet did pretty well. Certain socks would rub the wrong way in the toe box, not sure why, but they were super comfortable besides that. My feet did get sore at night, but I went from lounging around to walking 15 miles the first day, so that was expected and I don't blame the shoe for that. They got unbelievably dirty as expected but unfortunately, even with scotch guard, did not clean up well, so they went in the trash when we got home. They're super good-looking though and my husband ended up with a pair of black ones for when he travels (he travels almost weekly). I tried on probably 5 other pairs of white sneakers and these were the only one I knew my feet could handle for a trip to Europe.
Leg Day Staple

I bought these to use strictly in the gym during leg day splits because running shoes are not ideal for stability when lifting heavy. So far so good; I can definitely feel the difference in ground contact and it's much safer than lifting in only my socks. I use custom orthotics and they fit perfectly in the shoe.

My only qualm with this shoe is that the toe box is more narrow than I expected, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Other reviews had mentioned that so even though I measured my feet according to their sizing chart, I heeded the other warnings. I usually wear a men's 10.5 wide because I have long bony feet and don't like the toe box sides rubbing the bones of my feet. As a woman with large feet, I've grown accustomed to wearing men's athletic shoes because finding larger women's sizes is almost impossible. Because there's no 10.5, I decided to size up to their size 11 and I'm so thankful I did. The 11 fits how my everyday Asics Kayanos 10.5 extra wide fit my feet. So if you've got larger or wider feet, I'd recommend sizing up because even with the size up, there's only about a half inch from the tip of my big toe to the top of the shoe.
surprisingly great

I didn't expect much from these but have been disappointed with the expensive running shoes I've been buying and decided to give these a try after seeing a YouTube video recommending them. I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I like them. I have a narrow men's 11.5, and since there aren't half sizes, ordered the 11. It fits really nicely and so far working well for both trail running and general walking round. Don't know how long they'll last, but for the price I'm pleased.
If you're a 10.5 size shoe. Get the 11.

The pictures didn't do the black color enough justice. Used a ps5 controller for color reference. In thier photo they come off as a charcoal color but they definitely are a darker black color. Very comfortable. My roommate and I wear the same size and he was instantly surprised. The fit is pretty solid barely tied them and definitely not coming off. About to go to the gym so I'll let you guys know if they slip off under more intense use. Not sure about the quality or long term durability. Style wise I'd say they are fine for a casual outing but definitely not for special occasions. Ok off to the gym for leg day. I'll post and update after taking them to the gym and extreme testing them.
