I've been using silicone credit card wallets on my phone for several years. Some last for months. Some last for weeks. Snag the edge one time when you take it out of your pocket, start a tear, and it's down hill from there. I ran out of silicone ones so I ordered this leather one. It's so much better.
I couldn't carry more than two cards in the silicone ones for fear of starting a tear. I have three cards in this leather one. No problem sliding them in or out. I should have gone to leather years ago.
