I ordered this table as a Christmas present for my wife on the Sunday before the holiday. It came the week after New Year's Day, in a brown cardboard box that had been punctured. (The delivery guy pointed it out to me.) The box the table came in--the box that showed the table and mentioned how convenient it was--was taped together and I thought it was a return by a guy who'd looked inside and decided not to try putting it together. But all the pieces were there, along with the instructions. I was within a week of my 85th birthday. It took me two days to put it together, crawling around on the floor and losing parts that I found in plain sight. I had a feeling of accomplishment and pride when it all came together, plus a sore back. I had a couple of screws left over, but that was because the manufacturer of the table had a feeling that a nearsighted 85-year-old might be putting it together. It was an experience, and now it sits in front of a window with my wife's art materials on it and in its drawers, but it hasn't been used yet. It came with a stool, and we need a chair for it. I'm not ready to deal with any more projects just yet.
We just opened it. The box came torn up. One of the corners is damaged.
