Much Butter than the Traditional Mesh Spiders

I had one of those traditional mesh spiders with the bamboo handles and beccause the mesh was made of twisted wires... it got SO GROSS. I tossed it and wanted to give this one a try although I was skeptical that things like Pasta and other items would slip through the gaps. NOPE. Not only does this has a nice deep scoop so that nothing gets away... it also is a really nice size so it fits into pots better than my spider! I am able to scoop out a huge amount of pasta and put in the sauce without any real use of the strainer! It's also excellent for making Ramen Noodles and blanching veggies! Super impressed. I recommend this often.
