These straight edge clamps have been great for helping me cut straight lines across large sheet goods. They are pretty easy to clamp down, and they stay in place. I have noticed that it is easy to under clamp them, but just adjust and they work wonderfully.

I rarely write reviews, but this set is the exception....they were a project saver!! I don't use a table saw (minor kick-back accident as a kid, I get anxiety using one), so I rip everything with a circular saw. I was using clamps with long baseboards, but that can be a hassle and wanted to try these; they worked great! I believe I read some people had issues and truly believe it has to be user error! To give you context, I purchased 1-1/2" thick by 15" wide poplar that needed to be ripped. I struggled at first but quickly realized it wasn't this set but the saw blade. Replaced it, and no problem!

Fast setup for accurate dado with router

I use two progrip clamps to do this: How to cut perfectly straight dado grooves with a router by JFKreations on u tube. Instead of cutting precision mdf straight edge spacer blocks as shown in that video, I use extra base plates for my router: Bosch 1617 Router Replacement Sub Base # 2610928164 (2 Pack). Using only one straight edge (as shown in the ProGrip product description photo) can allow torque kick out and climb cut excursions. Using two straight edges basically creates a dado jig that locks the router on track, preventing kick out and excursions and potentially allowing a full depth cut in one pass, instead of multiple passes. Great product once I figured this out.
They work with minor modifications.

Clamps don't hold tight, even in the 3rd clamping Position. Added some 80 grit skateboard tape to the textured plastic clamp edge and now they are solid! Absolutely will not move now.
