I especially liked that the area of the coat under my dog's chin does not have a collar rather the collar is limited to the back and sides of the dog's neck. It's light weight but warm and water repellent. The 3 snap buttons are a little hard to pop, but that is a small thing to deal with.

Recommend that you order a size bigger than your dog usually wears, and try it on your dog in time to return if necessary.

Our dachshund weighs 16-17 lbs. He's low and long. His chest is 17 1/2", neck 11", and his neck to back is 14". I got the size large and as you can see it fits perfect. He was NOT impressed as he rather not have anything on, but I hope this will keep him warmer in the snow.
