In the end the rod is installed and looks good. Hopefully it will hold up over time.
My criticism is in installation instructions - specifically the 6 pictures. In 2 of the small pictures the wall bracket is shown installed vertically and in the other 4 larger pictures it is shown horizontal. At the end of a long day of trying to finish the bathroom project I must have been tired and installed horizontally - which of course was incorrect. In addition, one of the holes on the wall bracket was too small to accept the provided screw and the drywall anchors seemed too large for the provided screws (the screws didn't seem to actually tighten in them when I was doing the original installation). So after a trip to the hardware store to purchase smaller anchors, boring out the one hole that was too small on the one wall bracket, and then filling the mistake holes that I had created on my wall, the installation was complete and looked good.

I wanted to share my positive experience with the shower rod, even though I had to return it due to the curve being a bit too extreme for my bathroom. If you're in search of a shower rod with a substantial curve, this one is definitely worth considering.
