Okay. My fingertips are crazy sensitive to cold. I tried these with the included liner. Better but not perfect. I tried silk gloves underneath the liner--better--still non warm enough for me. I'm going to keep using these but with one of those heater packs.

These mittens are well made and kept my fingers quite comfortable while being out in single digit temperatures during a three day, two night camping trip. If you are on the fence, just buy them. You wont regret it. The only thing I recommend is to brush a light suede on to the leather palms with a wire brush, as they are a little on the slick side and make some items difficult to hold onto and manipulate.

If you have big thumbs, you might have to send them back...the thumb is all leather, and it's really stiff...one of them is slightly smaller than the other, so it barely fit...you might not be so lucky. Otherwise good. I added some paracord leashes, so I can take them off without worrying about dropping them in the snow. Haven't had a chance to shoot in them yet, but I assume the trigger finger has good tactile feel.

Well designed product. Pros: fleece lined, long cuff that can be snugged tight, durable leather palm & thumb. I like how they can accommodate several different inserts. The ones they came with are similar to the thin 5 fingered military glove liners for sale @ my local Army Navy store. Those were sufficient for me down to 7 degrees F. I ordered the large size and definitely have room for thicker wool gloves underneath these. Plenty of room for a handwarmer packet in each glove as well.
