Makes very harsh leds less disruptive to eyes or brain. Especially if they are close to the eye. Can be applied to 12" inside radiuses and still reattach the diffuser, (although I applied mine with screws over relying on the adhesive). Enables you to run continuously from backlighting an object, to plain view, to backlighting another object by subduing the exposed portion. Doesn't diffuse the light to a solid appearance. You can still tell there are dots of light in there.
