I have to admit GM's design is pretty crappy but the original lasted 10 years. This was purchased as a replacement and barely lasted one year. It's a pain in the A__ job so I was less than thrilled about it failing again. Spend more it will not last.

Save tons of $ from having the dealer or a shop fix your broken handles. Lots of YouTube how-to videos that show you how to replace them. Took me an hour to replace driver's front and rear handles which are the 2 most commonly broken ones. Need a pry tool and a couple picks.
