I read every review carefully to figure out what size to order for my 8 year old. She is at an odd size where some youth XL is too small and adult sizes are too big or too long. I ended up ordering a medium and it fits perfectly! It is spandex like and it's a little snug on her tummy... We could have gone with a large and been fine too. But happy with a medium.
