I took an old dark brown counter top, primed it with a bonding primer, painted the background white and then used the stencils with acrylic paints. The sealant is polycrylic by minwax. I made some mistakes but am so much happier with the product than the start. I have some repeats next too each other; I didn't unload the brush enough a few times and got smears. I'm not sure how long the polycylic will protect but it is a light use area rather than the kitchen. The stencils were easy to use. You have to be a bit careful when washing them off so as not to bend the delicate parts but they held up well and I could use them for another project. Thanks!

I used spray adhesive and a foam roller, it took a while to complete my backsplash, and I had to use a foam brush to fill in the edges of the stencil to avoid overhang from the roller. The design is really cool and the stencils are good quality. I'm very happy with how my backsplash turned out. I ordered two sets so I could have a second stencil to cut to size around the edges of the appliances and cabinets.

I used these stencils to redo our backsplash. I followed directions on the stencil, used a stencil brush and painters tape to keep in place, and made sure to clean everytime I moved the stencil. It took hours and hours to complete, but is a nice, cheap alternative to a tile backsplash.

I loved this design, but was not able to get the results I wanted. The paint continued to move under the stencil. I tried different brushes without result. I think possibly needs to be secured to the item being painted.
