I've used various shims for years. If you are not use to them, it will feel difficult at first to clip in. But it doesn't take long to adjust. These are no different. And given that they are stackable, I think they are ideal for anyone interested in applying a shim for improved fit. I am using them with Shimano MTB spd. no issues with them.
