I got this for a wedding and everyone complemented me on it. The material was heavy so I didn't feel self conscious in it. Totally happy with my purchase

The color of awesome the shape is beautiful. This is so flattering I love everything about it

I'm 5'1 and about 170-180lbs with a small bust, but large hips. Generally between a size 10/12. The L/Large fit really well without feeling constricted. Don't think I would be able to squeeze into a medium, but there's a little bit of stretch in the material.

The light blue is just as pictured--very pretty. A plus is that I'm not super self-conscious of my mid-section since the design kind of helped disguise them. For me, the dress doesn't feel too long and I find the high-low design is nice for having more coverage in the back! The fabric doesn't feel cheap which is something I was worried about. Easy to steam out packaging wrinkles AND doesn't seem to wrinkle easily otherwise.

Somewhat cons (not a deal breaker imo):
- It does have some non-slip glue strips on the shoulders, but will still move around/rides up/become loose in the front even from just crossing your arms. This might be because I don't have much to fill the neckline out...so I wore a nice bandeau and just readjusted as needed.
- Wished there was a hook and eye clasp at the top, but the zipper is secure alone
- Surprised there's no clear straps on this dress for hanging. I hung this on a velvet hanger. Thought it was well in place so walked away for 5 minutes. Came back to the dress on the ground :(

Overall, I love it! Great last minute wedding guest dress and now my go-to.

I took a risk buying this dress at the last minute for a "Purple & White Gala" I was invited to. I had a completely different dress I was going to wear until the person told me 2 days before the event that we should wear Purple.

I loved the style of this dress and recently lost 44lbs, so I thought I'd show off. For a point of reference, I'm 6ft tall and 257lbs. Normally, I'd go for a size 18/20 in dresses and still size 20 jeans because I've got junk in my trunk and I've gotten used to that and am scared to go down in size for fear it'll be too tight and I'd barely be able to breathe or sit without ripping it. I tried to go for the XXL here but I wouldn't get it in time for the event.

I sat here and read every single review and looked at every single picture in hopes I'd see at least one lady with my height and weight/shape so I could order accordingly. Some were hard to gage with just pics but no reference points, some gave reference points but were not like mine, some had no pics at all. I needed to see where the dress would fall for my height, how it would fit everywhere else. I read every single question/answer in hopes of seeing someone with my stats but no luck. I had to go off a mixture of people to make a decision as to whether I should go for the 14/16 XL or not because I could get the dress next day.

After reading the reviews and seeing pics of all you beautiful ladies, I decided to go for the XL and I'm SO glad I did! It fit PERFECTLY everywhere!!

So for that lady who might look like me and can't decide..get the XL and some Spanx! The dress stretches nicely and hugs ALL the curves. It's extremely flattering! Head turns, stares and compliments all night! Do it!!

I'm not someone who is generally comfortable wearing form fitting or body-con style dresses, so when I found myself in need of a dress for a cocktail event, I was apprehensive about ordering. However this dress was so well made and flattering that it's the one I kept and wore. I'm about 5'8"-5'9", and run between 145-150 lbs. Bust about 35, waist about 29.5. The medium fit just fine, but I suspect I could have worn the large as well. The only warning I have is that if you have broad shoulders like me, the off-the-shoulder sleeves may be a bit tight. If I had time to order a large and try that I would have just for the sleeve thing.

Also, tall folks rejoice - the length on this is super flattering. I have such a hard time ordering dresses from Amazon because they all seem to be made for the under 5'2" crowd. This hit me at a nice midi-length, and for shorter folks would probably hit at a cute calf-length.

The material is excellent, and at least the burgundy color is not sheer at all. However it does tend to show the outline of your undergarments, so you'll want to wear a smooth bra. I tried wearing it with silicone bra cups and they were too visible. Also, I washed it (cold, delicate, in a laundry bag) and hung it to dry and it did just fine.

I've rarely been as satisfied with a dress I've ordered from Amazon, so I'd definitely recommend giving this a shot!
