I'm a nail tech and have to sit for 10+ hours a day. This chair is great for the first 5 hours but then it's very uncomfortable. Like sitting on a bike for to long. Your butt cheeks hurttttt! Over all good though!
So happy with this now!

So I almost returned it, thank goodness I didn't. When I got the chair I was really impressed because it's such a nice chair, well made and super sturdy, it rolls like a dream. I hadn't quite got my desk made so I was trying to use it at my dining room table (for doing nails) and it was just too tall. I was super disappointed and started a return on it. I got my desk done and installed at my shop, and was noticing my old chair was just a tad too short, so I took the saddle stool down and low and behold, it's perfect! And the best part is, I can get up after sitting 2 hours to do a set of art nails, and be able to walk without the hip pain I normally have after sitting that long in an office chair. So if you are trying to use this at a desk, the desk top needs to be at least 32" for it to work comfortably. If you can work with that, this is a really nice, really sturdy and really comfortable chair that can help alleviate hip and back pain.
great chair, sturdy, supports good posture I REALLY LOVE THIS CHAIR!

I'm a girl, guys don't like the saddle- that's a convenient feature in my office.
Supports good posture, knees at shoulder width, I don't slump, back doesn't hurt- I have nerve damage in my lower back (ms). It keeps me from crossing my knees. I LOVE THAT THE BACK SUPPORTS ME IN THE SMALL OF MY BACK.
I'm really glad I got this chair; good quality, sturdy construction, nice wheels; one of the best guesses I made on Amazon.

Great for a standing desk!

This chair has fantastic back support and is fun to sit on - tho it's very tight on your bits so there's a level of discomfort after about an hour - which is great because the point of the standing desk is to stand. It's great for rest then reminds me when I get uncomfortable that I'm supposed to be standing. The lazy side of me wishes I got something more comfortable but then I probably would rarely stand at my desk if I did that.
So I have it 4 stars because of the comfort issue but really it's 5 stars for being uncomfy after a while so I don't sit for long.

Fulfilled most of my needs

I am an older lady who is only 5' tall and am unable to stand for long periods of time. I purchased the stool to assist me in the kitchen - at the stove, meal prep (chopping vegetables, etc.) and at the sink. The saddle configuration of the seat keeps my knees out of harm's way and allows me to place myself close to the work area. The seat could be a bit more comfortable, but I am grateful that the stool allows me to do tasks I was unable to do before I owned it. The stool helps with all of these. I am also able to navigate in the kitchen, on a ceramic tile floor, by holding onto the counter or stove and pulling myself along. That doesn't feel completely safe, but it works. My kitchen is a galley type, so counters are always in reach. I would have a problem in a larger kitchen. Mounting the stool stool when it is at its lowest position is not difficult. Dismounting, however, is problematic. Since I am a short person, I can't reach the floor with my feet when the stool is at a height necessary for me to work in the kitchen. I have to hold onto the counter, pull on the hydraulic handle and "push" myself down. This is inconvenient if I need to dismount while cooking to retrieve something from my cupboard or access the above-stove microwave. A bar or "stirrup" of some sort would, I think alleviate this problem. I had another problem: when I unthinkingly dismounted the stool when it was at a high position ("jumped" down). It was extremely difficult to get enough weight on the seat for the hydraulic lever to engage.
