The product came with a big crack in it, may have been damaged during shipping though. Not a huge deal because it's not supposed to be water tight or anything, but still ugly. But it works and it keeps my tadpole safe from the adult frogs in my fish tank

Accurate size like it says. It's a good item but my complaints are that the lid comes off far too easy. My fish have escaped from the box due to this. Also the middle portions move too easy also.

Even using soda cans as a size comparison doesnt give you an accurate representation of how much room your fish will have in the Small.. included pictures are of my Guppy in the small and i feel like its too small for her comfort but it will get the job done. I will probably buy the medium or large as a replacement shortly. Just hoping this is large enough to not stress her and allow her to deliver.

Otherwise, i dont have anything truly negative to say about the box, it is extremely clear, couldnt be any easier to assemble, just drop the bottom in and put the suction cups on and put it in the tank.

I bought this for guppy fry that were getting too big for the dinky little breeder box I already had, but were not yet big enough to move to the six gallon aquarium I had set up as a grow-out tank. (When you put them in too big of a tank too soon, I find that they waste a lot of their energy for growing while looking for food, exploring, etc.). This box gave them twice the space of the old one, maybe more. Very easy to clean. Like most boxes of this kind with the slits on each side, I don't trust it to provide adequate water flow. For this reason, I lift it halfway out of the water once a day to make sure toxins are not building up in the container, and let some of the uneaten food and poo flow out. The babies were a little confused by this initially, but it doesn't really seem to stress them out. (They're only a couple of weeks old- at this point they just think it's normal to suddenly have half your water disappear for a moment. What do they know? Lol.). I also put a wad of Java moss and some hornwort in there so that probably two-thirds of this was basically a jungle on their scale. I highly recommend putting plenty of plants even if you just use fake ones- otherwise the bare empty container will stress the bebbies out. Finally, I put a ramshorn snail in the container to help clean up- like having a Roomba under the high chair, haha. The babies were fine in this box until about three weeks of age. They are now in their grow-out tank and doing well.

I have not tried this to separate mom from babies, yet. The next lady to go into labor gets to try out the new maternity ward. But I would not even try it in anything smaller than this because putting them in tiny containers stresses them out a lot. This one, with plenty of plants in it, is large enough that it might be worth a try. I'll update this review after I see how that goes. But, just as a nursery, this is a great little box.

Was a little smaller that expected and had a slight crack in the plastic but not enough to return it. Floats on top of water and works great.
