When it comes to Toyota, typically, you do not want to mess around with other oils, not recommended by Toyota as the transmission is built to exact specifications. However, unlike Toyotas WS oil, this product is fully synthetic, and therefore likely to withstand longer-term use. Not only that, but it makes the transmission, smooth and efficient. I am very impressed by this product and would definitely recommend it to other Toyota owners.

I was completely caught off guard by how much this fluid made a difference. The transmission only had 67,100 miles on it, and Toyota says to change at 60,000 so I was a little late to get it done. I wasn't expecting any noticeable change to the feel which is why it was a surprise. Smoother and more responsive is all I can come up with. I won't wait that long to do the next fluid swap. I wanted to go with a WS-specific fluid versus a catch-all like Valvoline Maxlife, so I gave this a try. After what I experienced, I'll be going with this again in future... so long as there are no surprises between now and then.

I've changed the CVT fluid in 2 of my Prius (2005 and 2012) with this and have had no problems for total of 100,000 miles for both cars. I've only used Toyota WS ATF fluid or this Idemitsu fluid and I've had zero issues. I avoid domestic ATF in foreign cars bc those cars were designed and engineered for specific fluids and I don't have time or money to burn and see if I can cheap-out on already-reasonably-priced fluids and parts!

Used on a 2012 Toyota Prius C. Easy to install and a very high quality ATF. Toyota recommended fluid. Would buy again for next fluid change. BTW, I am a mechanic.
