Toschi - Amarena Cherries in Syrup, 1kg (35.3oz)

Key features
- •EST. 1945: Toschi began its story at the end of WWII in Vignola, Italy, when Giancarlo and Lanfranco Toschi first dipped the famous local cherries in alcohol to preserve them. Since then, Amarena cherries have taken the top spot in cocktail cherries the world over.
- •COCKTAIL CHERRIES: Carefully selected, stoned and sweetened, these sour black cherries are the gourmet alternative to artificial maraschino cherries. The best bartenders reach for real Italian cherries like Toschi Amarena to garnish cocktails such as the old fashioned and the manhattan. The sweet and sour taste and syrupy texture provide an elegant touch to your favorite drink.
- •DESSERT CHERRIES: Both the cherries and the luscious syrup they come in make delightful dessert toppings for ice cream, milkshakes, Belgian waffles, and traditional Italian pastries like zeppole di San Giuseppe. Also bake Toschi Amarena Cherries into cakes and breads.
- •SAVORY RECIPES: Because of their sweet and sour flavor profile, Toschi Amarena Cherries pair well with savory foods. Enjoy a crostini with brie or goat cheese topped with these Italian cherries on your next cheese board. For dinner, use Toschi Amarena to dress roast duck and potatoes.
- •HOME & RESTAURANT: Toschi cherries come in a variety of sizes. Get an individual jar for your home bar or stock your restaurant with our bulk size cans!

Top quality for a low price

We've been going through pretty much all of the cherry brands that we can put our hands on. Luxardo is the standard but pricey. I would have a really hard time telling the difference between these and Luxardo in a blind test - they even look the same, but you get several times more Toschi cherries for the same price as a jar of Luxardo. I think we have found our new staple cherry for our Old Fashioneds.
The candied variety is best for pies…

These are awesome for cherry pie. Pair with liqueured cherries for an added punch. But these candied cherries are my new "go to" for pie filling.

The sour black cherries are just amazing. We love putting them into our smoothies one tablespoon in a 16 oz smoothie is great, a full two tablespoons is just amazing.
