Worth every penny.....but be careful

I've seen a lot of bad reviews of this product but I saw it used by a person at my range and it worked terrific, so I bought one. I used mine with an Apple 13 phone and a Konus Spotting Scope. I had to call the Company to find out why my scope would not connect. Within the Spot Shot application I had to turn on the "Connect to Local Network" switch, then it worked. My experience is this is the best thing since sliced bread. The Spot Shot is connecting to your local Wifi, and then it actually turns into it's own wifie server and you connect your phone to the Spot Shot wifie. It's too bad it does not connect using Bluetooth. You must be near enough to some type of wireless network for this to work. It doesn't work without a wireless network to connect to. I suppose if you have a phone that can be used as a "hot spot" that should also work (but I have not tried this). I expect many people from my club will buy this. It is so much easier to look at my phone or an I pad than have to move to my spotting scope all the time. You should also have a good tripod for your spotting scope, it will make it easier to adjust your picture. Except for my little glitch with the software, I am very happy with this.
Does not work with Android!

Works great if you have an Apple phone but does not work with Android. The android app has not been updated in 3 years and is not compatible with new android operating system. Would have loved to use it but at least it works great for my buddy with an iPhone.
works pretty well

I've only tried this on a Burris 20-60x scope, I have other spotting scopes so maybe I'll verify compatibility across multiple scopes soon. I tracked the cat in the yard from my upper deck, from 30 - 70 yards. You will focus the scope as normal as if the camera is not attached. The sturdiness of your tripod has the same effect with or without the camera--sloppier, more difficulty getting aimed in. I will probably look at a Traversing and Elevating mechanism. Only missing element I could see was it does not seem to record sound, which would be good to identify what range and ammo you were currently shooting. Your image is as good as your scope, adjusting the focus and magnification is independent of the camera, and the video image is about as good as the scope. Not bad for very little money. Anxious to try it at the range at real distances (300-800 yds). As usual, I have no idea what the "Rate features" of "Sheerness" and "Warmth" are supposed to mean, so I left these blank.
Game changer!

The media could not be loaded. Set up was a breeze, have this linked to my IPad so I can use my phone for my Sig BDX rangefinder for holdovers. I have this attached to my Vortex Viper 20-60x spotting scope. Video is zoomed in, and at 1,000 yards. Makes spotting so much easier, and being able to record my shots is a game changer!
No spotter? No problem.

The media could not be loaded. This device is fantastic. I took this to Thunder Valley Precision in Ohio and spent a day on the range with it. I forgot my spotting scope, so I had to borrow a friend's cheap Barska spotting scope and even cheaper tripod. Mounting the camera on the scope was easy and once I got the app loaded, connecting to the camera was likewise simple. With the app recording, I could send a round and immediately play the video back and see where the round went. If you're on your own with no one to act as spotter, this playback feature is invaluable.
I have one of the universal cell phone mounting devices. This device is superior in nearly every way. The weight of the phone doesn't rotate the eyepiece if you want landscape video. Attaching the device is easier. I don't have to remove my phone case to use it. I can put the spotting scope 10 feet away and keep it away from the back blast from the compensator. The list goes on.
There are some things I would improve, mostly in the app. I would love if the same app as their downrange camera would work with this device. I would like the ability to stop & play back a video with one touch. The videos are stored in some subfolder of my phone that I haven't discovered. A "share to YouTube" option would be nice (I had to share to Google Photos, download, edit, and then upload for this review). But honestly, these are improvements rather than complaints.
