I am really pleased with this light. It was fairly easy to install, all the parts were there and the instructions were easy to follow. I replaced a shorter neon light with this one, my wife was always complaining it was too dim. There is nothing to complain about with this light, it is extremely bright. There is ample light to just use it most of the time for the kitchen area, and more than enough for the sink area and range top. I would certainly recommend this light.

I decided it was time to replace my 18 year old under cabinet lights(which I had installed myself) with a modern replacement that was brighter. Overall the installation was pretty easy, I only cut myself once, but that has nothing to do with the product. I didn't have trouble with the channels behind holding the wires, like some people described. The nuts that hold the wire in the back were a little tight for my romex cables, but it wasn't that much of a problem. The one trick I found for installing was for when you are putting the main compartment back in place. I took a small flat head screw driver and put it between the front edge of the inside piece and each of the two little clips at the front. Then I levered the screw driver backwards, and they snapped into their slots without any fuss. After the first one taking about 30 minutes, I could get the others down to about 10 minutes each to install.
One thing though. After installing, i discovered stains on my tiles and back walls, high under the cabinets that I could not see before. These lights are nice and bright, but be prepared for some cleaning when you're done. :)

This product is well designed, easy to install, linkable and very bright - what more could you ask. I just installed two 24 inch units linked together on the same switch. They couldn't have designed the lights to be any easier to install. Only two screws to hold the light to the mounting surface. Everything else snaps apart (firmly) and then back together (firmly). I bought a Lutron Diva LED+ dimmer switch here on Amazon and the lights dim great (no buzzing sound with this dimmer as another customer reported using a different dimmer). I bought the 2700 degree Kelvin color which is a warm white, perfect to match incandescent lights. If you feel comfortable replacing a light switch with wires connected by wire nuts, this project is no harder. All parts needed are included - wire nuts, knock-out stress reliever and mounting screws. Instruction sheet is brief and in understandable English, but the installation steps are pretty obvious. Instructions help with disassembling the plastic lens cover and inner electronics which must be pressed firmly at each tab. The only negative is that the excellent product is made in China, but good luck finding a light like this that is made in USA. That's why I knocked off one star in the rating.

Mounting screw position matched the flourescent light I replaced, so no new drilling was required. It puts out quite a bit more light than the flourescent. Bright daylight, really brightens up the basement kitchen area!
