I purchased this for a wall-mounted TV. I installed it on the back of the TV so that it would be out of view. As you probably know, the Apple TV is controlled by a bluetooth remote, so you don't have to point the remote or even be in the same room as the Apple TV. Therefore the Apple TV can be hidden out of sight. What is especially good about this mount is that it comes with 2 velcro strips which allows the mount to be easily attached to the back of the TV and easily removed, which is important if you need to take the TV down from the wall. Some wall-mounted TVs require that you tilt the TV back or forth in order dismount it, and that would be difficult with the Apple TV mount on the back of the TV. Also this mount is well priced and there's really no need to spend more for this type of mount.

It fell after the first installment but my husband redid it and it hasn't moved since so I think it might have been user error the first time around. The remote cover is great and was very much needed. That apple remote is slippery and gets lost so easily.
