I use this backpack to exercise in the mornings. I put 40 lbs of water in it and go hike up a trail... It has held up great. If you have a kid in scouting, are a less than 1 time a year backpacker, or are using it in a situation where extra ounces aren't going to bother you, this backpack is right there. It definitely isn't my KUIU pack or a Stone Glacier, but it isn't trying to be.

I got two of these one for me and one for my husband, we absolutely love them camping. Do you have enough room to store shoes in the bottom you can take a clip and hang stuff from the bag if needed definitely has enough room for a Hamic, a small sleeping bag, food, extra clothes, sunscreen etc. Stuff that you would need for 3-4 days out in the woods camping. I would definitely recommend this bag. For the money it's great quality and material. We did take some waterproofing spray and spray the bags just for some extra security in case we left our bag out and it got rained on and so far anything we put in the bag if we leave it out it's dry so that's a win-win.

Great little back pack. Used for traveling through Europe. It survived four airlines and two weeks of being packed to the gills. Its not a heavy weight industrial strength backpack, but very functional and if taken care of will provide lots of good use. Padding on the back is very generous, the shoulder straps could use a bit more, but like I said, still very functional. Lots of handy pockets. The only thing I would change is make the large part of the pack divided at the bottom, and the bottom exterior pocket extend fully into the pack. This would make accessing bottom items much easier. All though, I got a kick watching the customs and security guys try to figure out why they couldnt access the inside of the pack with that pocket! It was worth it!
