Did you have LASIK? Buy these NOW.

The first thing you should know is that I NEVER review products. Despite my background in psychology and research, I often find reviews to be too polarized and overwhelming. This product, however, deserves a stellar review and I'm going to try my best to offer a concise, helpful review for anyone who might be on the fence about buying these.

Background story: I have had Dry Eye Syndrome (DES) for SEVEN years. Seven. I had LASIK surgery at age 20, and I have had varying degrees of DES ever since. Now, to be fair, I did not begin working long hours on a computer screen until after the surgery so I cannot say for sure that LASIK is the culprit. We all know that computers and blue light are bad for our eyes. The bottom line is that we did not evolve to do this -- we did not evolve as a species to sit in front of a bright, harsh-lit screen in bright, harsh-lit offices for 8-12 hours per day. However, once you've permanently changed your eyes and felt the sting of regret after being worn down for seven years trying to find eye drops, glasses, contacts, etc., to cure the ailment that you inflicted upon yourself for having LASIK in the first place... you get a little frustrated and it's hard to see beyond "I shouldn't have done this..."

Now, fast forward seven years to present day. I ordered these glasses to figure out if I should put a coating on my reading glasses (yes, I know need reading glasses at a low prescription due to LASIK). I figured that they're fairly inexpensive and I might as well give it a shot. HOLY 5-STAR REVIEW, BATMAN! -- These glasses have CHANGED. MY. LIFE.

I now wear them while driving in twilight or at night, to watch TV, to work at the computer, to play around on my iPad or iPhone -- ALL THE TIME. I wish I could permanently make my vision look like this. This is what I've been trying to achieve for YEARS. Not only do they greatly relieve eye strain, but honestly they make everyday life easier for me to look at. My eyes are sensitive to light and I see halos/glares after LASIK especially when my DES is particularly aggressive... that stuff is GONE while I wear these. These glasses aren't just a solution for eye strain -- they're a solution for post-LASIK misery. Here is a list of reasons why I love these:

1) They are not super yellow. My coworkers notice sometimes, but it really isn't that noticeable. It also doesn't distort your quality of vision. Things look a little more sepia toned or yellowed out, but it's honestly comfortable for anybody who has sensitivity to light.
2) They are very stylish and feel like good quality frames. They are heavier than my $180 Ray-Bans. Seriously.
3) The arms have a spring, so they fit comfortably on my face and the faces of my curious coworkers without slipping. They also don't feel too tight.
4) They block some, but of course not all, blue light. Any glasses that are not straight up amber are not going to block 100% of blue light. I think they block around 30% according to the product info. For most people this will tremendously help, but of course some will require stronger stuff.
5) They are great for driving at night -- they reduce the glare of the headlights for me and make headlights far less of a pain without making it difficult to see.
6) They're CHEAP. C'mon, guys. A box of eyedrops for DES usually costs more than these.
7) I use LESS eyedrops now. They provide a shield over your eyes (this is important if you have DES), which reduces the air that hits your eyeballs. Also, with less eyestrain, I find that I am not reaching for my eyedrops to provide relief.

Just do it. Buy the glasses. If you hate them, return them. But I'm telling you I might buy five more pairs just to have a pair for every situation: at work, in my car, at home, an extra pair, in my purse, HELL I'd keep a pair in every freaking bag I own just to make sure I always have them. My eyes have NOT BEEN THIS COMFORTABLE IN SEVEN YEARS. Buy the glasses. I hope you love them as much as I do.
They’re cheap, they work; give them a try

I sometimes get ocular migraines and saw that another person who gets them had tried these and said they worked for her. I figured for 12 bucks, I don't have much to lose. I work in IT and spend most of my day in front of a computer screen and under fluorescent lighting. So far, so good. They don't really show off a yellow tint unless you hold them up to something white, and they actually knock down the blue light, creating a less harsh tone and making it easy on the eyes. They smudge fairly easily, but what do you expect, they're not an expensive pair of prescription eyeglasses. I do get a slight reflective glare at some angles, which is why I gave it four stars, but it's not enough for me to toss them aside. In fact, I'm gonna give the $30 amber-colored lenses a try in hopes that they perform even better. I'll review those after I've had them a little while.

If you work in front of a computer for long periods of time, spend your day under harsh fluorescent lights, and/or get ocular migraines, I recommend giving them a try.

I purchased these face filtration spectacles at a steal! For a mere 12 shekals I had these babies hand delivered in 2 days! Not only are these glasses rad because because they are protecting my eyeballs, but they rock the casba in appearance. Wearing these at my desk on the start of the first day made me almost create an Insta account! My confidence has never had such a bolster than it gets when I'm looking devilishly handsome and my optic circuitry is at ease. It is tempting to wear this $12 sex magnet full time, but alas, it is not practical because then I would not get to utilize the hard case that they arrived in! Who would've thought that someone had the foresight to include a case and a special wipe thingy! I wouldn't! I mean, I would assume that people would never remove these from their bridge long enough to want to store them! I mean, if they are in a sweet zippered case then I cannot take selfies with them on my face. Soooo, I choose to use the case to store my trail mix instead of just dropping the pieces directly into my snack holes. As for the wipey cloth, of course one needs this. There is no better way to keep the sight lines pristine than with a Chinese manufacturers recommended towelette.
Great glasses, stopped my eye strain and headaches

I have been having some eye/reading issues for the last year or so. My vision is still 20/15, but from arms length in it is getting very hard to read. My Optometrist told me "welcome to old age." Not what I wanted to hear, but I guess I have to accept it.

I have tried a handful of "cheater" glasses. 1 power, 1.25 power, .75 power. All helped, and were good for reading books, but all gave me a eye strain and a slight headache when I used them for longer periods on the computer or my IPad.

Then I came across these, which offer UV protection and anti-blue rays. Ok, for $11 I will give them a try. I went with the .5 power. I am quite happy with them. The .5 power is plenty for me as it clears up the text and gives good definition to the words and pictures. They have a slight yellow tint, but that is not even noticeable after wearing them for a couple computer sessions. They seem to give the clarity I need to read and also are much more forgiving for eyestrain and headaches that I got with the other "cheater" type glasses.

I did get a slight headache for the first two days wearing these, but that went away as my eyes adjusted to them. I just ordered a second pair to keep by my IPad. Overall I am quite happy with these.
Seem decent, except for weird smell.

I just got these today, and they seem to be pretty good quality for the price, and even come with a pretty nice molded zipper case. I've been experiencing some eye strain lately, especially following an update to my contact lens prescription, so I am trying to do everything I can to alleviate any strain on my eyes. I came across these online, and figured I may as well try them out for the price. I ordered them without any prescription, because I already wear contact lenses. The lenses in these glasses have the same anti-reflective look to them as my prescription lenses from a major eyeglass specialty store, so I tend to believe their claims about anti-reflective coating. The lenses have a slightly yellow effect to them, which I *hope* will effectively block blue light, and/or reduce eye strain. The only downside to these, near as I can tell, is that the lenses have a weird chemical smell if you sniff them, and I believe they were made in China, so I am somewhat concerned about off-gassing. I plan to use these for working on my computer at work. I tried these on while working on this review, and they do tend to mute the brightness of the white background a bit, which I think will help when spending long periods on the computer. I'll update my review if anything changes.
