The quality is very thick and good. There was no strong smell. Very well packaged with the instructions. Easy to set up. Only took 5 minutes. The gap was gone. Just a quick tip, when you take off red tape to stick on, push down the material so avoid any gaps. I promise it won't push against the floor or rug if you open the door after. As for durability, I just put it up today so I will come back to review. One small thing about it is the blow dryer to use to heat the adhesive on the material. I don't own a blow dryer. So I just stuck it on without heating it up. Especially now that it's winter because the instructions state to use a blow dryer. Hence why I will come back to review the durability on it.
