This past weekend, my family and I gathered with friends to send off our great aunt. This urn was PERFECT! Seeing it bob in the water after we said our prayers and remembrances was just lovely. I would recommend this urn to anyone. There is some glueing and transfering of the ashes to the biodegradable bag that comes with the urn kit, but the directions are easy to understand and it worked out just fine. Just make sure to do the transfer of ashes outside...

The material was sturdy enough to hold shape and construction through a week of festivities. Urn had a separate plastic bag in it and Crematorium transferred the ashes into the bag which then went in the urn. Lower part is shaped like a shallow soup bowl and the top flowery part is glued onto the lower part (glue included) and secured with clips.
When the urn was placed in the ocean, it floated away with the waves and appeared to begin the disintegration process after a couple of minutes.

I could not have been happier with this urn. I ordered this to scatter my mother's ashes into the sea and had it shipped to the company I used for the scattering. I did have the person I was working with open it and we determined there is some gluing needed around the edges to secure it. The package also included clamps to hold it together while the glue dried. Saw it for the first time on the day of the scattering at the boat. It was easy to glue together and it dried quickly. Very impressed with how beautiful it was. Everything worked wonderfully with no issues at all.

This was perfect for my mom's ashes. Family members were able to write special messages on the log. Once we placed the log in the water, it took less than a 2 minutes for the log to dissolve. There was no issue with wind and we were able to honor our mom's last wishes.
