I had to bend the rod to make it fit, but it only took a few seconds and wasn't hard. Installation was super easy. The plastic nut on the last one broke after only about 2 years, this one has the same type of plastic nut so I don't know how long it'll last. I hated the rattle the old one made (even when new). This one doesn't make noise.

I have used this before and eventually the plastic fitting that guides the metal lever through to the handle can break if someone flushes hard and there is no lid to stop lever.

But the plastic versions of the flush handle lever will break after time and can foul the the flushing mechanism. I my case $400 water bill!!!

TIP: If possible adjust your handle travel so the end of the rod hits the tank lid. This will prevent someone pushing so hard on the handle that they breaker the plastic limit guides where the handle passes through to the arm.

Fit perfectly. This is a plastic handle though. The OEM was a metal handle. Hope it will last.

Direct replacement for my broken Kohler handle. Quick easy painless install. However, it is worth pointing out that this is a cheap plastic while the one it replaces was chromed metal. Because of how they are manufactured I could not swap the metal handle for the plastic one.
