The price listed indicated that there would be two items at $22 per item. I received just one stand at the full price. I like the stand, but disappointed with the deception.

"Very happy with this product. The pot is very durable, especially compared to the more common clay/ceramic pots. I purchased several different planters (pots) with stands at the same time I ordered from Fox &Fern. Sadly (this is true) just over half were accidently broken after a very short time. Granted, the other manufacturers' pots and stands didn't break themselves (if left alone, I'm certain they would still be intact). However, I have a small puppy that is definitely of the extremely curious and energetic type. She still weighs less than 3 lbs, but can create an impressive mess within a second or two. Jumping to grab small mouthfuls of the lowest parts of the plants, she was able to knock over my new plant stands, sending the pots tumbling and uprooting the plants. The pots were in pieces - mixed with potting soil and pieces of plants along with their roots. This was a mess that could be cleaned, but nothing was getting salvaged. However! My Fox & Fern was standing upright next to all the plant, dirt, and pieces of broken pottery. The Fox & Fern pot and stand were unscathed, although the plant they held didn't fair as well (it looked as if a puppy had made a plaything of it). To my point: the stand is sturdy (and still adjustable!) and well-balanced. My very strong, but very little puppy was unable to pull it to the ground. The pot stood in its stand just as it had before the incident, unharmed. To note: I don't believe the pot would have cracked let alone shattered if it had fallen with the others. It's made of a material that is strong, light, and actually really nice looking. The whole ensemble has a very clean design, simple and refined. It won't detract from the beautiful of the plants it holds (conversely, it seems to make less attractive plants look less so). And again, it's made well! It can handle the bumps, bangs, and tugs that are inevitable in life -without falling to pieces. YAY!"

Just got into plants and bought three of these because of the quality and ability to expand and contrast depending on my pot size.

EDIT: the company reached out to me and offered to send a replacement stand. I was also assured that all units would be inspected to prevent future ones like this from going out. I appreciated the extra step and hope that they do follow through with this for future customers. I will be happy to update my review again when the replacement arrives.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I think I got a bit of a dud, but I made it work. I was disappointed right out of the box with the sloppy use of unstained wood filler all over the place. One of the slots was just a bit too small and required thr use of a rubber mallet and some force to get them to fit together. I delayed writing my Amazon review because the company sent the product with a card that instructs you to email them with any problems and they will get back to you within 24 hours...its been three days with no reply, so I went ahead and wrote the review. Honestly, once assembled the sloppy areas really aren't that noticable and it looks really good next to my fireplace. Just be prepared for it to be a little extra work than you would expect from a plant stand, and have a rubber mallet handy.

I bought this stand and a large glass container , I filled the large container with glass stones. Then I put another glass cylinder inside the larger one. Filled the gap up with more glass stones. Put the candle in and it gives it a nice look. I wanted some large candle stands but went this route due to my dogs. Keeps everything safe and pups cannot burn their noses if they sniff the larger cylinder.
