Quite comfortable shorts. Similar feel to heavy drawstring cotton shorts. Good length past knee. More form-fitting look that I'm not a huge fan of, but I guess it's the style today. No front opening, so you'll need to "pull them down" to relieve yourself. Deep and wide side and back pockets. No other pockets one might expect on say cargo shorts.
Cons: The drawstrings are both too short and the metal collar at the end is stylish, but can easily fall off if you don't tie a bigger knot at the end. But again, the string is already too short. Also, I have a stockier frame, 5'10 and 220lbs - XL seems to be the right size, but the shorts tend to slide down in the back when I move. Perhaps once I lose a few more lbs I will be able to tighten the strings a bit more properly so this doesn't happen.
