Nice balance of sound quality, volume without distortion, portability and resistance to dust, water, etc. The app is just okay. I bought two speakers and the right does not recognize the left [left always finds the right.] Is that a refurb issue or app issue - not sure but the app isn't great with party mode and saving my eq settings so I'm inclined to go that way. If you don't mind some nagging, minor issues with the app this is a solid purchase at a discounted price. App does allow you to customize the sound curve so you can adjust to your taste; I'm not crazy about the sound when set to flat eq but was able to get things to satisfactory with a few tweaks.

I could not believe how awesome the sound is that comes out of this speaker it's just incredible and the app rocks as well. I'd definitely recommend this speaker if you want really rocking incredible sounds it's the closest to being in a real concert. Just awesome!

I love the sound quality considering the small size. I was dissapointed that I could not download the app because I wantect 2 ultimate ears connected for stereo. The app was out if date. The company apologized to me but has not fixed the problem.
