The fridge arrived with good packaging, however, there was still some damage to the back top panel but it's minor and doesn't effect the performance of the cooler and with it being in the back I was okay keeping it. When I plugged it in it was quiet but when the fan kicked in it made a loud rattling noise that was unbearable. I contacted their support and had a support member listen to the sound and he agreed that it shouldn't be that loud. He asked me to send video and proof of purchase and they would schedule a tech to come look at the issue. I waited for over a week and didn't get a response after reaching out a couple more times. Then my brother visited and I showed him the problem and in less than 10 mins he fixed it. It appears that the front panel where the fan is located was not bolted securely and when the fan kicked on it would hit a metal plate in the back causing it to rattle and shake. He added a thin piece of styrofoam between the two plates and screwed it tightly. Noise gone. I'm keeping the unit but wanted to say I was disappointed in their support service. Overall it's been working great and cools drinks well.

EDITED: Ok, I'm editing this because the supplier contacted me to help locate the light switch.
there is a location for a "rocker switch" right next the the thermostat. There was not one installed so I figured they missed it. they did not. It was in another location that I missed. Thank you for that!

That being said, to update you on this unit after one week of operation next to my pool under our pergola, it seems to be operating as described.

Unit keeps beverages cold and runs somewhat quite. you can hear it, but, being outside in the pool area it's not intrusive.

As I read through other postings on here I noticed there is a fair amount of units delivered damaged, mine too was damaged. The upper right hand corner where the top meets the side panel is smashed in. It appears it was either knocked over or run into. but whatever happen to it someone knew they did it. it's enough of a dent that someone knew.

We found this after the delivery men were gone. For this reason it gets a 4star rating not a 5.

I do like these refrigerators, however, there are some things you might want to know. In terms of the ACTUAL units, they are beautiful. I really like how they look, the size, etc. and the fact they keep things cold - they are first class.

However, in terms of function, the shelves will not stay put, so if you're lifting something off them, like a tray of cookies or a flat of eggs, the shelf will pop out and come with it, usually falling to the floor and injuring a knee, shin or ankle on the way, as well as damaging itself as is crashes to the floor, which means now I have to take the time to go wash and sanitize it. Happens CONSTANTLY. It's very irritating that I can't easily slide cookies or cakes or eggs out of the fridge without 4 hands or a headache or an injury.

If you were using this as display for customers, I'd be wary of an accident for your customers, depending on what they were removing. One Coke, okay, but if the shelf is getting empty or something larger is being removed you will have trouble.

The other thing was one of two things I feared with delivery - that either they would arrive damaged from the freight company or that they would arrive DOA. The second happened - my first unit was dead on arrival. It was hell for me because i desperately needed this added cooler space for a wedding I was working on and it made my life really hard for two additional weeks waiting for a replacement. They first sent a service person out who walked in the room, didn't touch the unit, wasn't within three feet of the unit, and proclaimed it was not fixable. He was a blithering idiot, however, he is not associated with their company - just a serviceman they sent out. It then took a while for the seller to 'get that report', again, not the sellers fault. I do feel they expedited things as much as humanly possible, I'll give them that, they were on it, and they were nice to me, and understood the pickle this put me in, and I really really appreciated that, but a dead on arrival product is a pain, and I've seen others describe it in the reviews as well. The experience has made me a little nervous about the new one - is it OK? Will it continue to work for me? Will I have problems down the road? I dunno, I hope not because I really do love these and you'll like it, too, as long as it arrives in undamaged condition AND it actually works.

As to the shelf issue, no one is going to like that. The shelves need a retrofit done to them so they STAY PUT. If the company could manufacture some rubber grommets or something to keep the shelves from flying out and performing a Nancy Kerrigan knee injury every time you pulled stuff out of the fridge, that'd be awesome.

This product is beautiful and appears to be very well made but I had to return it only because it didn't serve a specific purpose for me. I needed it to cool to 32 degrees. It in fact cooled to 33-34 degrees but only on max cool setting which is only recommended for a short time. Bottom line, it's perfectly suitable for cooling drinks.
My experience with customer support was outstanding. Communication between myself and Genesis was almost instantaneous. Genesis arranged for a pickup at my house and that worked out without a hitch. This was most appreciated because returning a refrigerator could have been a real hassle but not with this vendor.

This is all I was looking for in a beverage fridge. Great space and works well. The fan is mounted to a flimsy piece of metal and rattles non stop when the fan kicks on. You will have to take the bottom cover off and wedge something between the metal and frame for the vibration to stop. Simple fix that should be fixed by the manufacturer before shipping the fridge.
