I have some sort of neuropathy on the balls of my feet which make standing and walking - or even just doing nothing but llaying down - painful. I just took these shoes for a hike up and down a dirt and rock hiking trail for 45 minutes... Surprisingly comfortable. Or at least not as bad as my orthodontic-insoled shoes. It was an intersting experience. Like almost walking barefoot, but protected against the pain of rocks. You still felt them, but there was just enough cushioning. I think the only improvement would be to make the insoles a tiny bit thicker. But I will keep wearing them and see how they go. My only wish is that they had the KIZIK type heel to make them easier to put on.

I just got these so this is more a first take than review. The total weight is 723 grams, which is heavier than my Skechers "hiking" shoe. With that said they feel durable. I bought these mostly for disc golfing on wooded courses, I'll update after a few months of usage. Looks wise they are"¦.utilitarian, but they are advertised as a hiking trail shoe. They ugliest part is the "toe cap" area it should probably be more minimalist and basic not fake toenails.

It is by far the most comfortable barefoot shoe that I've purchased. It's a snug fit on top. Incredibly soft. They're more padded than many barefoot shoes which I like a little more cushion which is nice.
The most significant drawback is the ridiculous tow shape and fake toenails on top of the shoe. It makes it far too dressed down to be able to wear to an office because they just look like something at 12-year-old would wear.
I would love to see basically the same shoe with a smooth tow like a normal shoe.

Ok, for starters, I ran around barefoot a LOT as a child and young adult, so my feet never really conformed to shoes proper. Also my measurements in terms of width and instep height, are more akin to the global averages for an Asian male for whatever reason. I am an America Woman, I bought size 6.5. These are the best fitting shoes I have ever owned in my life, and considerably more affordable to than anything that has been suggested to me to date.
I did do a sort of break "in", where I walked around the house with them untied, which shoved my toes into the box a bit. That area was a bit stiff upon arrival, but now is very comfortable when laced up properly - this might have helped, or might just be a mental relief thing. (Might be worth a try if you're experiencing the same thing.)
I've now ordered 3 pairs.
