Simple, High Quality, Efficiency

After reading independent reviews on low cost, small stationery bikes, this product was repeatedly chosen as a "Best". And the reviews on Amazon was strongly favorable. I decided on the sturdier model (up to 400 lbs) not so much that I needed it for the weight but it appeared to be the newest model. The price was a bit more (vs. 300 lb model) but I have no regrets although it appears the less expensive probably is excellent. My biggest concern was assembling it even though many reviews stated it was easy even for phobic, less skilled types. But I am happy to report that I am now a very happy customer. Shipping was fast and efficient. Unpacking the box might be the most challenging part given the efficient manner by which it was packed. I started off the assembly by only using the instruction manual which has it's limits even though they do a good job. I remembered seeing a review recommending following a YouTube video on assembling the bike and it was the best thing I could have done. Highly recommend it....there are a few and I wound up using two different ones. I wish I remember the titles but I simply searched by company name and model. The first video was excellent which had easy listening music and a simple, slow approach with a female instructor. But this video was for the older model and didn't have instructions on the console for the 400 lb. model which is the most challenging part. I found another video that helped with this. By combining the instruction book with watching the video it became quite easy to assemble. No doubt the most challenging part is the tension cable which took me awhile to make sense of it. I couldn't really understand from the instruction manual so this is where the video helped but I think others might have less of a challenge in that it ultimately is very easy just awkward before I realized how it works. So, once you've unpacked and cleared out your area with the packing material and just have the parts it should take not too much time to assemble....about an hour and a half but many can get through it within an hour and probably not much more than two if you're extra deliberate as I am. Now the best part is actually using the bike. I do a fair amount of road cycling and wanted a simple bike for staying tuned and cardio during off days, bad weather and convenience. No bells and whistles. This product actually gives you what once were bells and whistles in a simple manner....for instance pulse measurement which I love for monitoring my workout. Easy read monitor with simple utilization. The ride is quiet and reasonably comfortable. I am use to a cycle saddle so this wide, Cadillac version allows for cruising easier but I had no problem moving up on the seat when I wanted to really pump. The front position of the pedals is also different from a performance cycling position but again it is really good for how I attend to use it. i have no problem getting my heart rate up and breaking a nice sweat. I noticed the quads get utilized a bit more than from a traditional cycling position, fyi. The tension is easily positioned to adjust throughout the ride and I have no problem manually creating my own workout. Worth the savings. Overall this bike is built very solid, looks better in person and am very pleased with it's simplicity and effectiveness. Highly recommend for all types looking for a simple, effective and home available workout.
Absolutely solid and a smooth ride!

This bike was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something anyone in my family could ride. I am 5'7" and 380lbs, my husband is 6'4" 180lbs, and my teenage kids are 5'4" 200lbs and 5'9" 170lbs. Every single one of us fit comfortably on the bike and can pedal smoothly.
I rode this bike at a moderate speed (about 10-12mph) for 30min intervals. I was comfortable riding and it didn't move around or rock at all. Even while I get on and off. It's also almost completely silent while riding which I was surprised by!
My husband put this bike together in about 30min without any issues. It folds very easily and I can do that and moving it from the storage space to the middle of the room by myself. The overall footprint is pretty compact even when it's in riding position and I was very pleasantly surprised at just how slim it got when folded! Perfect for compact spaces!
The tech isn't anything to write home about but it does keep my time, speed and distance which is all I need to calculate the calories burned on my tracking app.
If there was any negative, I would say they did think about the width of the seat which is fantastic! Very sturdy and I don't feel like it's riding up. However, they didn't put any contouring/extra padding on the seat, so it's just wide and flat. But it doesn't really cause any issues, I'm just used to my wide, padded seat on my street bike.
If you are on the fence about the bike, I promise, it is worth it and you will not be disappointed! I am a big girl and was looking for a way to take my bike riding inside during days I cannot take my street bike out but didn't wanted to break the bank and also didn't want something to take up a huge foot print in my small home but MOST OF ALL that was sturdy and supportive. I did a lot of research and am absolutely thrilled that I ordered this bike.

Very easy to set up.

This bike was very easy to set up. It is a little bit heavy but to me that's good as it means it's very sturdy. I am 5'2 and I barely am in the comfortable zone for riding the bike. I have to sit closer to the edge of the seat. I recommend using shoes while using it as it gives you better grip to the bike.
A decent little bike

Purchased this bike on January 14, 2020 after looking at numerous brands, models, and reviews. Exerpeutic gets good reviews and seemed suited to my 178 lb. 5 ft. 9 in. frame. Many similar bikes, while they won't say so, seemed lighter weight and pitched toward women. I avoided Exerpeutic's older models due to occasional complaints of difficulty getting parts when problems arise. The one-year warranty covers the frame only, with a 90 day warranty on everything else. I thought it best to spend the extra $22 on a three-year extended warranty.
Shipping: Super fast and secure. Arrived early in good condition.
Assembly: The instructions are"¦OK. Small parts are packaged on a paper card in labeled plastic bubbles. Some things not fully explained require a little patient thought. Obviously, be careful with the pedals. The threading is not the same on both sides, kind of like an old Chrysler. The lock nuts that go on the pedal shaft are just that, lock nuts, lined with plastic near the top, and it's not clear how tight you should go. The video I watched showed a number of things only installed a turn or two so I was on my own. I went "snug" which was not easy. The phone holder is best installed with a long screwdriver. The screwdriver tool included was clumsy and any other screwdriver would not extend through the access slots in the outer surface of the holder. The wires for the digital display were easy to attach but where to put them? They were an awkward fit to simply attach and leave dangling, and mine seemed squeezed under the display when I mounted it. I gently tucked the wires and connectors into the void on the back of the display formed by the plastic tablet holder molded into the front (see photo).
Performance: I have ridden almost daily since purchase, 30 "“ 45 minutes, at 12 "“ 14 mph, resistance setting 4 with an occasional minute or two at 5. I warm up and cool down for a minute or two at 2 and 3. It will get your pulse up, make you sweat, and burn some calories. Standing up and cranking at level 8 or trying to "spin" will probably break it. If you are a serious cyclist or work-out fiend, spend the $2000 and $47 per month on a Peloton. This is not that, nor is it intended to be.
The seat is comfortable enough although made of wood and vinyl stapled together (see photo), I worry it may not be long for this world. The seat has 5 possible heights and I'm comfortable at either the middle setting or one shorter. You can also screw the seat to its mount in either tall or short person mode. My first couple of rides, the flywheel made some intermittent scratchy sounds, like the end of a cable or plastic scraping it. It eventually went away. It also makes occasional rhythmic light clunking sounds that are hard to localize. The crank or the frame and seat as me and/or the bike get warm and tired? Hard to say. The footprint is relatively small and when collapsed, the bike is easy to store leaning against a wall.
The electronics are pretty easy. Push "mode" to walk through all of the data displays, ending with pulse. If you push it again, you are in scan mode. Push it again to get back to manual display. The app that you get is easy too, although sort of limited. Set up an account, login before each ride, choose your goals or bypass them to just have it monitor the single ride. The pedals have to be moving before you choose connect or Bluetooth will not detect the display on the bike. Once it's connected and running, it will zero the display and off you go. It does not export data as far as I can tell.

Sturdy Bike and Comfortable Bike Seat

Got this after years if a spin bike causing me tailbone pain and putting too much pressure on my wrists. The seat is wide and doesn't aggrevate my tailbone. You sit more like you would on an average street bicycle so no pressure on wrists or hands. Assembly wasn't too bad. I use it this almost daily and am very pleased.
