I have a very plump Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she absolutely loves this bike mount. There is plenty of room for her (and she is CHONKY). and she just sticks her face out in the breeze with her ears flying out to the sides pretending she is queen of the world.

Mounts super easy - we take it off when she's not riding with us. It's well made and very attractive.

My other CKCS is deaf so is prone to motion sickness. We tried him in it, but he got car sick and vomited all over the basket - not a problem! The liner caught the whole mess and washed in the washer and dryer good as new!

It may be a little pricey, but it's a well worth it little bike seat. The basket can be used for utility uses when the dog isn't in it.

If your dog is very small they might be able to fit through the bars on the cover. However for my dog this basket was just about perfect. 9 lb dog. We did have to modify the spacing of the support bracket. I also use the tether as a safety attachment backup to the handlebars, (not attachment to the dog.)

Is it expensive? yes, it is. But you get what you pay for. The design is sturdy. We have a 13 pound Cavapoo and he is quite comfortable in the basket. It can make steering a little more effort, but it's worth it. The fur lining ensures that he is very comfy. Big fan.

The media could not be loaded. Update: I tried to ride with this basket and both my dogs can get their head in between metal bars in lid. They taper, so they put their head in, then a bounce, then their head bounces into the narrower part of the taper...not good for my 3lb Chihuahuas. I've tried to fasten some barrier screen with zip ties but it doesn't hold. So unfortunately I cannot use basket for my dogs with lid. I'm not comfortable using without a barrier if some kind on top, so I must look for something else.
Update: my husband mouted it with ease. I can unstrap the two front belts, tip the lid back, and let my dogs out, as they are very small. I have yet to ride, so I will update when I do.

I'm so impressed upon unboxing this basket! I've already started getting the dogs used it on the floor, they seem to like it. I will update my review once I mount it. I compared lots of products prior to buying this and I must say, it is not flimsy on the bottom as some reviews suggested, the all-weather wicker is a tight weave and quite ridged. The fleece liner has elastic at the top and is very soft. I cannot wait to try on my ride. The only thing I see which may be hard for me, is that you must strap the cage on top...there doesn't seem to be a quick snap release or anything fast. Which I would prefer, but undoing 4 belts isn't the end of the world. I will be sure to give 5 stars if it installs as expected!

The only thing I had to improve on was the bracket on the back of basket, after a couple rides Pablo being 15lbs and moving around some made the back of the basket bow forward. I cut a 1/2 inch piece of pipe and zip tied it to the back top of the basket and then wrapped the cloth back over and its great now. probably have ridden Pablo over 150 miles on several trips and held up great.
