I bought and returned two other jackets that were rated the same as this jacket but they did not block the cold across my back. This jacket is exactly as describes described and my back doesn't get cold. It's warm, waterproof and blocks the wind. Fit is great. I'm 5' 7 inches and 190 lbs. and the large fits perfect. Customer service is great, it came faster than expected with a nice note from sender that they expedited the delivery. The jacket is well made and the zippers are good quality. A great jacket for Colorado winters.

I work in the Tokyo city center, and live in the outskirts of Tokyo. Winter here ranges from -4 Deg C at night/morning to about 8 in the afternoon (Sorry I don't know what it is in farenheit). This jacket is more than comfortable in these temperatures, keeping me toasty all the way through. Windproofing was stellar too, couldn't feel the slightest hint of wind, and we get some really gusty days in Tokyo. Haven't really tested it in mountainous areas but I'm quite certain that it'll stand up to the test. I won't go all out and say that it'll be invincible in a place like Canada or Russia, but if you're an urban dweller then this is definitely more than sufficient and comfortable. The only gripe I have is that the size runs large; I'm 178 cm (5'11 I think) and size S for this jacket justtttt about fits me, so I recommend going down half or a full size. All in all a great jacket, great value for money, and if it breaks down (bloody hell I hope it won't, this thing feels tough) I'll be getting another one pretty sharpish.
