I really liked this retractable leash until my dog chewed through it. It is lightweight and comfortable to hold. I liked the locking mechanism; it was intuitive. However, my dog was left to her own devices for about two minutes and she chewed it right off. If your dog does not chew on everything in sight, like mine does, I would recommend.

This is my third purchase and I never make it a full year. This one lasted 6 months with alterations like re tie-ing the cord to the hook.
I had to buy another one because of the big nylon ball that formed and rendered this leash useless.
This all happened with just everyday use, it's not from her chewing or clawing. YMMV but I'm done with this brand.

Works great , does get a bit stuck at times however, it doesn't not affect t he usability of it. I use it for my 120 lb, insane Great Dane and it holds her back without a problem. My dog has gotten the cord stuck around trees and it has never ripped at all , cord is very strong.
