I sent this to my 5 yr old grandson, it is probably a little too advanced but you never know till you try, he could have been a prodigy. But when I visited and saw the quality of this product I was so happy I bought it. Even if he isn't using it so much now as he gets bigger he will now have a great quality product to learn on. Very happy, it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be you can put this on a stand and it would what I would call ADULT SIZE
It is electrical and my 5 year old granddaughter is mature enough to play it.
