One day I noticed that my outdoor fountain had green slime all over it. It's on my porch so I wasn't thinking it could get slimy but it's been super hot out. I was talking to a friend of mine and she said her fountain had gotten all green slime and yucky and she bought this stuff. She sent me a photo of it and I ordered it. Within 2 days, it was completely gone! I was shocked!! Get it and keep it handy if you have an outdoor fountain!

I have purchased other products made for fountains or ponds that did not control the algae at all, so I was skeptical about this one. I have two water features that pump about 5-6 gallons of water and located very sunny, hot areas. I was having to scrub these fountains weekly, take them apart, etc. I tried peroxide and white vinegar as well to no avail. When I first tried this product I cleaned the fountains with a "magic eraser" to get the worsts stains off. Then I filled them with fresh water and added 1/4 teaspoon of the chemical to each. I could see an improvement over night. I flush out the fountains every day because the birds do get them dirty. About every three days I add 1/4 teaspoon to the fresh water. Both my fountains run completely clear. One even has smooth river stones which always grew algae. I would not use more than needed to make sure it stays safe for birds.

I've been using this product all summer long now and I couldn't be happier. I have two fountains in my gardens and they use to get overgrown with algie. Using a capfull of this product weekly has kept this to a minimum and I have not had to clean the fountains as often. The water runs cleaner and the small pumps don't get as clogged. I'll continue to use this product. Happy with the results.

Manufacturers recommended this product to help with mosquito problem. Not only did it clear out all the mosquito larva but the fountain has never looked cleaner or clearer. Definitely would recommend!
