As far as out-of-the-bag fit, your normal size should do. I have not washed the %100 cotton sweater yet to see if the fit changes (dryer) so I could not give it a total 5 star rating for fit and comfort and overall look, yet

I usually like to try things on in the store but figured I'd take a chance. It's a really nice basic sweater, comfortable and not too heavy. I wanted something for the fall to just throw on and I don't own a blue one. I wear medium in everything usually so I took the plunge. First of all, the color is not exactly the same as the picture. It's ok but I wanted the color in the picture. Second, because it's 100% cotton, I forgot that it would stretch. I'm going to wear it anyway but I decided to put a small in my cart just to keep there for the future. I washed it thinking it would shrink but all it did honestly was take away a bit of the softness. I would recommend it but definitely think before you buy.
