This little fox was perfect for my seven year old niece to make. Fine quality , easy directions and one satisfied child! A beautiful end result and worth the money for sure. I might need to get her another one"¦maybe the mouse! I highly recommend this product.

I got this for my 6 year-old granddaughter and we just finished it. So much fun, and not too difficult for a first sewing project! She was able to do most things herself, with instructions from grandma. A great little project to do together!

We assembled this with a 6-1/2 year old granddaughter and had fun doing it. Some aspects were just too difficult for her to handle and she needed quite a bit of help and coaching. But she is a good-natured kid and enjoys being with us, so we took our time and no one got stressed or upset about it. The backpack itself would be very difficult for a kid to figure out and get adjusted properly on their own, so we pretty much did that for her (which was fine). It is a very cute finished project and our granddaughter has a nice memory of a couple hours spent with grandma and grandpa doing it. Recommended!

I bought the fox, the bunny, and the learn-to-sew kit. And I give them all 5 stars. They are great kits.
I bought the learn-to-sew kit for my 8-year-old (who already knows how to use a sewing machine because of an after-school club, but doesn't have any real experience with hand-sewing). It's a really nice kit with reusable patterns and a booklet with instruction for extra projects beyond the materials included in the set. i.e. it's not a set that you would use up. The book and the patterns will always be useful.

But on to the part of this review that I hope will be most helpful .... specifically whether you can push the limits on the age range (which is one of the biggest reasons I tend to read toy reviews ... ). Well, I got the fox and bunny kits for my 4-year-1-month old daughter. I had to help with the accessories, but she was able to do the primary sewing. The kit uses a blunt plastic needle with pre-punched holes in the felt. It wasn't much harder than those sewing cards that are a common preschool toy. She is very proud that she made her own stuffie. She really did do the stitching with hardly any help. The finished product is so adorable that I'd think that she could make something like this as a gift for grandma. It's got that sort of "darling" appeal to it that could totally fit in on a shelf full of grownup kitch/decor.
