This endoscope was a very cost-effective addition to my tool box. I knocked off one star because the provided USB-A adapter required for my Windows 10 laptop was intermittent and the endoscope dropped the connection with the slightest movement of the endoscope cable. I give the support team at [email protected] 5-stars for their quick response to my complaint with an immediate credit offer sufficient to purchase a reliable USB Type C to USB-A adapter.

I needed the endoscope so I could safely change the left front cornering bulb on my wife's roadster rather than paying Mercedes $60 to change a $12 bulb. I wanted to avoid removing surrounding engine parts or blindly reaching my hand into a narrow round headlight light housing opening and pulling on the bulb/connector.
My windows 10 laptop detected the endoscope after I opened the standard Win 10 camera app and it gave me the option of switching from the front facing camera (normally used for zoom meetings) to the endoscope. The windows app also gave me the option to video record the endoscope images. I simply inserted the endoscope into the headlight housing opening and moved it around slowly at various angles and various focal depths for five minutes or so. I set the video recording quality in the Win 10 app to 720P with 60 Hz flicker reduction.

I replayed the 5-minute video and paused it whenever I had a crystal clear image of the bulb connector and lamp housing. The images on my 17" laptop screen clearly showed that there was no connector release tap so I could just pulled the connector and bulb from the housing. The images were clear enough to see the exact orientation of the bulb connector in the housing as well as the bulb part number.

I saved the video recording and a few screen shots to review before I replace the bulb again ~7 years from now.

Be patient. It takes a bit to learn to control it and due to the chrome tip length and shape it won't make tight curves (-1 star) and ive used the attachments and they work ok. You have to hook the attachment under the chrome sleeve and pull the black ring almost all the way down. worth the money. Use USB CAMERA VIEWER (android). Once loaded the app will bring itself up if the screen is on when the camera is initially plugged in.

I picked this up to add as an extruder nozzle camera on my 3D printer. It connects to my Raspberry Pi running OctoPrint with no issue. The It's been great so far. Love the shots I get. The camera quality is not the best, but how much can you expect from such a small camera and for this price point. The only reason I dropped one star is because, before I installed it on my printer, I attempted to use it as it is advertised and if you have recent Android device, you (at least I couldn't) will not get an app that supports this guy. I had to pull out an old back up device running Android 7.1.1 to get it working in any of the apps I could find. My S22 Ultra just would not work with any of the apps. But fo rmy purpose, it's worked great!

You need to play with the apps, to see which will work with it. You'll end up paying for the app to make it work. Good news, apps only cost about $9.

I needed to see a part number on a unit which was not visible on the side of a unit. I tried a mirror, but could not get close enough to read the name plate. I found this unit which is compatible with a cell phone and my old tablet. The application was an easy download and I was surprised that it actually worked the first time I tried to use it. The brightness can be a little tricky to get right and the orientation of the camera is a bit hit or miss but it does the Job! Very happy with it.
