I recently purchased the Donner DST-100T in Lake Blue, having already been impressed with the quality of my purchase of the Donner DST 125 guitar in Polar White. However, I must express my disappointment with this purchase. Firstly, the wrong color was shipped, which was disappointing. More concerning were the numerous fret sprouts on the guitar, causing discomfort while playing. The pickups were another issue, as they failed to work in the 2nd through 4th positions, significantly affecting the sound versatility.

Additionally, though minor, there were noticeable cosmetic flaws. While tuning the guitar was a straightforward process since you have to do it everyday, the combination of receiving the wrong color, fret sprouts, pickup malfunctions, and cosmetic imperfections has made me contemplate returning this product.

I had hoped for a similar positive experience as with my previous purchase of the Donner DST 125 guitar, but unfortunately, this purchase has left me dissatisfied with their quality control process.

Donner should have just sent the right color and checked the frets and pickups before shipping. I have contacted them about the negative issues but still have yet to get a response. We will see how their customer service is.

UPDATE: Donner truly went above and beyond in delivering an outstanding customer service experience. The challenges I faced with this guitar were met with such care and dedication that it not only brought about a resolution, but also instilled in me a deep sense of trust. From this point forward, Donner is unquestionably my go-to company for all things related to guitars. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every guitar they produce, and my collection of superb Donner products is a testament to that fact. The hiccup in quality control I mentioned in my initial review was but a tiny blip in the vast constellation of Donner's musical brilliance.

Easy to play

This guitar looks absolutely incredible and it wasn't difficult to set-up. If you are starting out as a beginner, then I recommend that you get this guitar. It provides you with a very portable amp that sounds clear and smooth.

Everything came well packaged and even came a day early! The lil amp sucks so bad that I would like to insert a few bad words. Outside of that, this is my first guitar I'm just winging it and I'm glad I almost had a complete set up until the little amp went out after two days! Really discouraging! Luckily I remembered I could use my karaoke machine until I find a nice amp. I wish I would have gotten the DS 200 or whatever the next best thing is! For a few extra bucks the better features is always worth it for me in the long run. Anyways so far so good I'm not too down about my selection it plays and it's still very nice for my first time also based on some YouTube reviews they think so as well. Kids have lots of interests, for a short time, and we often hope one will stick. My grandson had been fussing with a small acoustic guitar and trying to learn to play rifts. He kept it up for awhile, so on his birthday I gave him this kit. It was perfect. As others have noted, the guitar is solid, sounds good, and comes setup nicely.

He has several cousins who play instruments, so hopefully he will stick with it. At some point, the next step would be to upgrade to a more powerful amp. This is perfect for a beginner, but would reach it's limitations quickly.
