At first, I had no clue what my husband was trying to give me. I thought he was commenting on my feet or maybe my hands were a little rough looking lately. But no, these were for my mini Akorn! I don't know why I was worried about them being ' too rough' on the grill, I had been scrubbing the grill with a wire brush or even a bunched up ball of aluminum. After I started using one I was surprised how easily it conformed to my cast iron grill, just about perfectly. It does leave a white grit/dust that is easily blown, rinsed or burnt off.

Very good cleaning product but, on its own, it won't be able to get rid of that really hardened guck that's built up on grills. Probably with the right cleaning chemicals you could get rid of that hardened build-up with this. The thickness allows you to get a good grip.
