No instructions, took a bit of bother to figure out how to install batteries. I had to slightly twist the white cap to loosen, get it off and then gently pry the bottom section apart to install batteries. Was easy to snap back together and works. My first couple of coils were awkward, I didn't expect the unit to spin so darn fast. Patience and practice. Have learned how to control the speed by adjusting how much pressure to apply on the button. Bought because of the low price, not disappointed. It is a nice size, easy to hold. Not for beginners hoping for instant results. Gave it 4 stars because it arrived as described and it works.

This is a must for anyone doing quilling. It makes producing the quills so much faster and easier. The tool keeps the paper strips straight on the flat platform while you click the button to spin the central metal rod that holds the strip. Battery operated and comfortable to hold for hours. Love it!

I tried it for the first time this morning and my first couple of attempts left me with a tangle of paper strips, but by the third try, I'm starting to figure out how to slow it down (by resting my finger on the spinner). It's a cheap little gizmo, but I think it'll speed things up once I get the hang of it.
Putting the batteries in was easy, but I had to come back here to see how to open the casing - no instructions we sent with the device.
