The biggest surprise is that this item has not needed to be charged since taking it out of the box 4 months ago. I've used it off and on but when I do need it I tend to search for more items to clean up - sweaters, socks, throw pillows, beanie hats - you name it. (I find it a bit "therapeutic"!). It works as expected, is easy to clean and I appreciate the extra blade which will be very easy to change. The storage bag makes it easy to keep everything (shaver, blade, cleaning brush) handy and together. It doesn't have a cheap feel or look...if someone really wanted a clothes shaver as a gift, this one would present nicely, box and all. The ONLY issue I have is that the collection cup wants to come off too easily while in use. But that hasn't stopped me!

I bought the shaver specifically because I had a winter coat I couldn't wear because of all the pills on it. It took a few minutes because it is a long coat, but the shaver cleaned it up good as new. I have used it on several sweaters as well, most of which were light colored and had dark pills from my fur-lined coat that made the sweaters actually look dingy. They're like new now too. I haven't had to recharge the shaver yet, but I'm not anticipating any problems. It seems well made, and is comfortable to use. Money well spent!
UPDATE - I've had this sweater shaver for nearly two years, and it still works great. When it first arrived I used it on several sweaters and jackets, always with good results. I keep it at the end of my ironing board so it's handy, and I probably use it a few times a month. Amazingly, I still haven't had to recharge it.

I bought the Kooder shaver 4 months ago. It's still going strong and I love it. It has brought new life to all my sweaters, sweatshirts, and dresses-- it's like I have a whole new wardrobe!
It has a larger "head" than most other shavers, so covers more fabric in faster time. It is rechargeable so I never have to worry about disposable batteries (better for the environment). It comes with a spare blade which is very generous, a convenient carrying case, and an adapter for more-delicate sweaters (I recommend this for fine-knits and cashmere; the blades are very powerful and can create a hole in the fabric otherwise). And it has a large container for storing the lint, though it attaches with small plastic posts so be careful not to drop the container and break the plastic posts, like I did (I just glued it back together instead).
The only room for improvement is that I don't know how long to charge it for, as after 12 hours of charging the red light is still red and doesn't turn green to tell me it's done charging. But this negative isn't enough to take off any stars because it is such an amazing product otherwise. Charging for several hours amounts to about 45 minutes of continual use, in my experience.

This little beauty does what it says. Removes lint balls and pilling off of fabrics. Comes in a nice carry bag for traveling & storing. I've had no issues with it putting holes in fabrics as my old one would occasionally do. Comes with two replaceable blades, which I haven't yet needed to change out. Charge lasts a long time, through multiple uses and long periods of sitting unused. I took away 1 star only because the cord detaches, which while helpful, also creates the risk of it getting lost. Because it is an unusual type of charging wire, if you misplace it - you might as well buy another shaver, because a replacement is not easy to find & would be just as costly as purchasing a new shaver. Would love to see this product redesigned with a usb charging wire and the ability to purchase additional blades (if needed past the addt'l two it comes with.)
