I use these in my shop on different pieces of equipment like my mill, lathe and grinder. They work great. They have a magnetic base. If you want to use one on a non metallic surface, no problem, they come with thin metallic adhesive disks. I couldn't be happier.

I bought two of these for task lighting on my wood working gear. The magnets are strong, the light is bright, and the stand is very flexible. But for some odd reason, one of them stays on - at a very low level - after I turn it off. Very strange.

Machinist friend pointed me to this light and I'm glad he did. It's fairly small, pretty bright and inexpensive.
The magnet is strong enough to mount in any position. Gooseneck is firm and stays where you put it. The light is either on or off at full brightness but is great for many uses. I added a couple to my 3D printer and the size and flexible neck allowed me to illuminate very close to the work. Big Thumbs up from me for this light!
